There are several different types of Boy Scout camping programs: 

  • Short-term camping 
    • Boy Scout camping: This may consist of one-to-several night(s) campouts.  
  • Long-term camping
    • Boy Scout Summer Camp 
    • Boy Scout Winter Camp

Boy Scouts of a certain age are eligible to participate in some of the programs listed below. Note that there may be age requirements for participation, depending on the venue.  

  • High Adventure Camping
    • Philmont Scout Ranch

      National Jamborees are held every N years at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia

      World Jamborees are held every N years 
      The next World Jamboree will be in 2019 at Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia
